I walked into the liquor store not having any idea what I wanted to buy. To prep for the first football game of the season, I knew I would be needing a bottle of something good. I usually go with the classic Tito’s vodka, especially for game days, but I was feeling inspired….so I had some fun and started exploring the champagne section of the store.
When it comes to picking out any kind of wine or champagne, I am completely clueless (hence why I am taking this class). I don’t like it when my champagne is too dry, but I also know I didn’t want something that was too sweet. I was taking a chance with this one, but I ended up picking a bottle called “La Bella”. A delicious Prosecco Italian Sparkling Wine! From the region of Veneto and sub-region of Prosecco, this bottle was on the inexpensive side- right around $10. Now thats my kinda bottle!!
Unfortunately, I was not relaxing and eating a cheese platter while drinking my Prosecco. I was hanging out with friends sipping on a champagne flute while all of them took shots. I was so not feeling the whole liquor thing (refer back to blog post #1…I hate liquor). Although the drink was great already, I definitely think it would have tasted even better if I was eating great food, hanging out and relaxing while drinking. The bubbles were intense, the flavor was fruity but not overly sweet, it was just perfect for what I wanted and I will 100% be repurchasing.
Alright, that is all for now. I hope this wine review was slightly enjoyable and/or helpful! Thanks for reading 🙂
Until next wine time, Darcy
